In 2018, the Fine Arts Work Center celebrates 50 years of nurturing creativity.  Founded in 1968, the Work Center has provided time and space for emerging artists and writers at critical times of their creative development.  At the heart of our mission is a renowned long-term Fellowship program that provides housing, workspace, stipends and a creative community to 20 emerging artists and writers selected annually from over 1,600 applicants.
5,000 more benefit from our outstanding educational offerings, including a Summer Workshop Program of week-long classes in creative writing and visual artists and our year-round innovative online writing program, 24PearlStreet.
As you consider opportunities for giving, we hope you will reflect in the difference art and literature bring to the human spirit and on the Work Center’s contribution to the lives of countless artists and writers.
There are a variety of ways to support the Work Center, including our 50TH Anniversary Campaign.  Additional giving opportunities include our annual fund, membership program, endowment and legacy programs, as well as celebrated cultural and special events.
We thank you in advance and are grateful to our loyal and dedicated donors whose generous support enables us to carry out programs responsive to our mission.
