RAUL DE LARA (B. 1991 / DACA since 2012) is a sculptor raised in Mexico and Texas. He uses wood as his medium for storytelling. De Lara holds a BFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has participated at the Oxbow School of Art Fellowship, Chicago Artists Coalition HATCH Residency, and the upcoming Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown Fellowship. Exhibition sites include Marfa, Chicago, New York, Burning Man, Richmond, Miami, Austin, and an upcoming exhibition with The International Sculpture Center, and a group show in Mexico City.
