Susan Cross is Senior Curator at MASS MoCA where she has organized major new commissions and exhibitions by a range of emerging and established artists including Sarah Crowner, Liz Deschenes, Marcos Ramirez ERRE, Liz Glynn, Katharina Grosse, Allison Janae Hamilton (co-curated with Larry Ossei-Mensah), Steffani Jemison, Mary Lum, Ledelle Moe, Richard Nonas, and Simon Starling, among others.  She has organized significant survey exhibitions of the work of Alex Da Corte, Spencer Finch, and Cauleen Smith and a number of thematic group exhibitions, including Invisible Cities (2012), The Workers (2011 - co curated with Carla Herrera-Prats),The Dying of the Light: Film as Medium and Metaphor (2014), In the Abstract (2017), and The Lure of the Dark: Contemporary Painters Conjure the Night. Cross edited the first monographs on Da Corte, Crowner, Finch, and Glynn and is the co-editor of Sol LeWitt: 100 Views. Previously, she was a curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
