The Fine Arts Work Center’s Summer Awards Celebration is its largest and most widely attended fundraiser, an annual commemoration of individuals whose essential gifts for writing, art, and action have moved us toward a more progressive and humane society. Recent honorees include painter Paul Resika, television writer Ryan Murphy, playwright Paula Vogel, actor Robert De Niro, writer Ann Patchett, and former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick, among others.
This year’s Summer Awards is Saturday, July 14, at the Pilgrim Monument and Museum. On this 50th anniversary, we are pleased to recognize Work Center founder and artist Salvatore Del Deo, whose vision for the Fine Arts Work Center and whose own painting practice are enduring testimonials of the Outer Cape’s distinct and enduring creative powers. (Other honorees to be announced)
The July event features a reception, awards presentation and a gourmet dinner by MAX Ultimate Catering. The event will also feature an exhibition, commemorating Salvatore and Josephine Del Delo at the Pilgrim Monument. Tickets begin at $300 up to $10,000.  Sponsor packages are also available.  Premium donors attend a private opening and conversation with Ai Weiwei in July, as well as an exclusive Benefactor Appreciation Dinner with honored guests in late August.
