WENDY C. ORTIZ is the author of Excavation: A MemoirHollywood Notebook, and the dreamoir, Bruja. Her work has been featured in the Los Angeles TimesThe Rumpus, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and the National Book Critics Circle Small Press Spotlight blog. Her writing has appeared in The New York TimesHazlitt, and a year-long series appeared at McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. She works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Los Angeles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KRISTIN HERSH is a musician and author. Her first book, Rat Girl/Paradoxical Undressing, made Rolling Stone's list of the top ten music memoirs of all time. NPR said of her most recent book: "Don't Suck, Don't Die, is not only one of the best books of the year, it's also one of the most beautiful rock memoirs ever written."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JESS T. DUGAN is an artist whose work explores issues of gender, sexuality, identity, and community. Her work is regularly exhibited internationally and is in the permanent collections of several major museums. Her monograph Every Breath We Drew was published in 2015 by Daylight Books. She is the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and was selected by the White House as a 2015 Champion of Change. She is represented by the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago, IL.
